I walk through the valley,
the sun once shined
it comes out to play at times,
then hides behind a cloud again.
I ask it to stay out, to light the whole valley
but it is gone again and I am in shadow.
I can't see and the flowers do not smile
oh sun oh sun where have you gone too
Forget the sun, let mars light the days!
I turn my back and trudge away
my eyes will adjust to the lack of light.
A beam scatters at the end of the valley
maybe I can make it to that...
Oh sweet heart, die quietly, do not be too loud.
